Will the State of Play bring any news about Starfield on PS5? Apparently not.
This week,
we will have the first State of Play of the year on Thursday (12) and fans are excited for news. Will we finally see the Starfield port for the competing platform at the PlayStation event? Apparently not: according to an insider, news about the game will be revealed in March.

Starfield for PS5 will be shown in March, not at State of Play.
On the ResetEra forum, insider Shinobi602 has been bringing news since last weekend. Although he occasionally comments on rumors and leaks, he has a good track record of accuracy and has become a trusted figure.

According to Shinobi602, in response to a fan, Bethesda is not expected to reveal any news about Starfield during the State of Play. And why would that happen at a Sony event? Basically, it has been expected for months (or even a year) that the title will receive a port to Sony’s console after the start of Project Latitude, which brought Xbox games to other platforms.
However, the highly anticipated game news isn’t expected to appear at the PlayStation State of Play, but rather sometime in March. And what would that news be? The PS5 port is one of them, but also the last DLC, which hasn’t had any further details, and the changes the title will receive in the so-called 2.0 update – which was rumored but recently confirmed by YouTuber MrMatty Plays.

Therefore, it seems that Starfield will have some dedicated event or a reserved space in Microsoft announcements in March. Although Shinobi602 didn’t specifically mention March, he commented that news is coming “next month”.
